We know. You've been listening to us ask repeatedly for help over the past few years. And between COVID, the holidays and the general chaos, it's hard to think of history as being of significance. But, here's the thing--it is important. And we can't save the museum without public support. The Vineland Historical and Antiquarian Society is the oldest local historical society in New Jersey, headquartered in the oldest purpose-built museum in the state (that has been around for 110 years). The museum needs to be restored if it is to survive because after years of neglect, the walls are cracking and crumbling, the foundation is in poor shape and other work needs to be performed to ensure that it will still be around for future generations. Please take a look at the structural report below and you'll see exactly why we are worried. We know times are tough for most people but if you give $5, $10 or whatever you can afford, you'll be helping to preserve something that's irreplaceable. As we've seen in recent years, much of Vineland's built landscape has been sacrificed by those who don't realize the significance of the town. Please don't let our museum become another casualty.
